Architect
Position Description
The Architect works with the sales team and AIPEX consultants and the customer to create state-of-the-art solutions in the areas of integration architecture,
application integration and e-commerce.
This individual must have the ability to provide technical, project and account leadership in large and complex environments and have a track record of
successful and referable projects.
The Architect works with customers to identify requirements and must have the technical and business skills and experience needed to design and develop cost
effective solutions that meet functional and performance requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated and extensive experience in software and solution development with significant OOA/OOD and architectural experience with distributed systems
- Demonstrated, extensive experience as software developer with architectural experience and responsibilities, and MS Computer Science or equivalent
- Educational requirements include a MS Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or BS with significant experience or equivilent
- Excellent understanding of the software product management process and project life cycle methodologies
- Experience implementing large scale distributed applications in production and an in depth understanding of the issues involved
- Experience mapping business requirements to technology capabilities, identifying gaps and omissions and designing end-to-end solutions
- Experience with developing multithreaded and event-driven systems design and message-oriented middleware e.g. TIB/Rendezvous, IBM MQ Series, Vitria, BEA
Tuxedo/Q
- Strong working knowledge of UNIX and NT operating systems. C/C and Java(J2EE, JMS)
- Strong working knowledge of RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Informix, SQL Server) and ability to design DB schemas and interface with it using ODBC/JDBC.
- The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to travel as required
