SMS Management & Technology (SMS) grows its Systems Integration Practice through the acquisition of AIPEX

SMS Management & Technology (SMS) today announced the acquisition of Aipex Pty Limited (Aipex), a specialist Systems Integration provider and Australia's largest certified Tibco partner. TIBCO is a leading provider of solutions in the areas of service-oriented architecture (SOA), business optimization, and business process management (BPM) and Enterprise Analytics.

Key benefits of the acquisition include:

• Aipex will add over $13m in revenue and in excess of $1m NPAT in year 1
• addition of 54 specialist Consultants to the VIC and NSW teams
• a new capability in the Markets & Trading / Institutional Banking sector
• a talented National Practice Director for Systems Integration
• proven implementation and project experience gained over 10 years.

In making the announcement, SMS CEO Tom Stianos said,

Commenting on the acquisition, Aipex Director Trevor Townsend said,

Trevor Townsend will head up the National Systems Integration Practice and will continue to develop and grow the acquired capability.

The business will be integrated over the next 3 months and will be EPS accretive from January 2010.
